“The “Gibbon Song” of the only Ape specie found in India is the elaborate call of this primate which can be heard 2 kilometres away. Known to be monogamous, these cute primates, have nuclear families like humans with upto 4 off-springs. Being frugivorous, the Hoolock Gibbons are known to be integral to preserving the health of the Forest. As of date, just 10,000 of these endangered species remain in the North Eastern parts of India.”
