“Ajaigarh Fort is an important fort believed to have been built in the 9th century. The battlements of the fort follow the top contours of the hill on which it is situated. It forms a rough triangle of about 3 miles in circuit in which there were 5 gates originally. There are several water tanks on the summit that are still believed to be sources of pure water. Trek to the top reveals the ruins of 3 Jain temples that are built in 12th century style, similar to the ones at Khajuraho. ”
